The geothermal system involves much more than installing a high efficiency heat pump.

For these systems to function properly and efficiently and for the building to qualify for rebates the building has to be part of system. Design and construction of the entire house involve many trades or "jobs". These trades include Well Drilling, Pumping, Excavation, Concrete, Insulating, Pipe Fitting, Carpentry, Refrigeration, Electric Power, Instrumentation and Control, Telephone and Computer Systems.  We recommend  involving us in the entire project, starting with the design phase.

As a consultant on Geothermal installations, where the customer had serious problems, I have learned that the public needs one contractor to be responsible for the whole project.

A higher system efficiency and customer satisfaction is achieved when all the different sub-systems are integrated properly and all the involved trades work from one plan and under one direction. Sub-systems include the ground loop or well with pump, solar, air distribution, dehumidification, "make-up" air or energy recovery ventilators, controls  and items such as heat storage and  wood pellet stoves that may be required by your utility for the rebates.

Standard practice has been to undersize the system to save a few dollars on initial costs, only to require the use of electric resistive heaters to assist in heating domestic  water, and the house. Our designs do not require resistive heaters.

OUR DEDICATED STAFF IS READY TO ENSURE THAT YOU, THE CUSTOMER, RECEIVES EXACTLY WHAT YOU ASK FOR AT A REASONABLE PRICE.

Some of the manufacturers that we can choose from are, Hydro Delta, Comfort Aire, Florida Heat Pump (FHP),  Econar and ClimateMaster.

Before you choose a Geothermal Heat Pump make sure that the water system is designed to operate the well pump at low pressure (low power consumption) until  domestic water is needed.  Also, very few manufacturers offer a unit that heats water "On Demand".  The "super-heat" method only heats water when the unit is heating or cooling, requiring an electric hot water heater, thus reducing overall efficiency.

As part of the entire system, we use as much radiant heat as practicle, or wanted, to enhance efficiency.  This also may allow you to store enough heat to satify the utilities requirement for "back-up" heat.

We also offer Wood Pellet stoves for "back-up" heating that can be ducted into the central heating system.
